How do I delete a message from a conversation as a student?
You can delete individual messages within a conversation in Canvas.
You can also delete an entire conversation.
Note: When you delete a message from a conversation involving multiple participants, you are removed as a recipient on that message within the conversation. If another recipient replies to all through the deleted message, you will not receive the reply. However, your Inbox continues to display messages within the conversation prior to the deletion. Additionally, any messages you sent within the conversation remain visible to other participants in the conversation.
Open Inbox
In Global Navigation, click the Inbox link.
Select Conversation
Select the conversation.
Select Message
Click the Options icon [1] and then click the Delete option [2].
Note: You can only select one message to delete at a time.
Confirm Deletion
Click the OK button to delete the message.
Note: You can only delete your copy of the message. You cannot delete the message for all recipients.
