How do I view instructor comments?
You can see comments from your instructor by accessing the assignment and viewing the submission details.
If your instructor used Crocodoc, you can see the annotations by clicking on the View Feedback button in the assignment submission details. Click here to learn how to use Crocodoc.
Note: Comments from your assignments also appear in Conversations. To learn more, view the lesson about SpeedGrader comments in Conversations.
Open Grades from Course Navigation
Locate the speech bubble  to verify the assignment contains a comment. Hovering over the speech bubble  will tell you how many comments there are.
View Assignment Comments
Click the speech bubble  to expand the window and view the assignment comments . You can also view the author, date, and time of the comment.
View Assignment Details
To view the details of an assignment, click the title of the assignment.
Comments made on the assignment will appear to the right of the submitted assignment.
Open Submission Preview
If your assignment is a paper, your instructor may leave annotations on your assignment. Click the View Feedback button to view the annotations. Hover over the button to see more information about your submission.
Note: If the assignment is previewed in a format that does not support feedback (Scribd or Google Docs), Canvas will show the Preview button.
