How do I use duplicate module items to remind students about important content?

You can use duplicate module items to remind students of important content. This can be useful for reviewing information before assignments or exams.

Open Modules

In Course Navigation, click the Modules link.

View Course Modules

View your course Modules. In this example, the instructor would like to duplicate Course Resources [1] and add it before the Expectations assignment [2] to provide a review for students prior to them submitting the assignment.

Click the Add Item button [1].

Use the Add drop-down menu to select the type of item you wish to add to the module [1]. Select the item from the item list [2]. Choose the indentation level of the item by using the Indentation menu [3]. Click the Add Item button to add the item to the module [4].

Move the duplicated item by clicking the drag handle next to the item.

Now you have Course Resources [1] duplicated to appear again before the Expectations assignment [2]. This will remind the students to review the terms before submitting the assignment.
