The hardware configuration for Elevate Data Quality is comprised of separate servers for the Elevate Data Quality application and the database, using either physical or virtual servers – a total of two servers.

The following is the recommended hardware for the Elevate Data Quality application server:

• Dedicated Server Class Machine (e.g., HP Proliant 57X class Rack or Server) with Quad CPU – Xeon class processors (3.6 Ghz or higher)
• 16 GB Memory
• Hard Drive – minimum 80 GB
• Dual Power Supply

The following provides a lower cost hardware option for the Elevate Data Quality application server:

• Dedicated Server Class Machine (e.g., HP Proliant 57X class Rack or Server) with Dual CPU – Xeon class processors (3.6 Ghz or higher)
• 8 GB Memory
• Hard Drive – minimum 80 GB

The following software is required on the Elevate Data Quality application server:

• Windows SQL Server 2003 SP2, 2008, 2012, or 2016
• SQL Server Management Studio (just the tools, not the RDBMS)
• Java 1.7.0 Update 67 (32 or 64 bit) (this is shipped with Elevate Data Quality)
• Application Server – Apache Tomcat 7.0.55 (this is shipped with Elevate Data Quality)

The following is the recommended hardware for a database server, which will house Elevate Data Quality’s databases:

• Dedicated Server Class Machine (e.g., HP Proliant 57X class Rack or Server) with Dual or Quad CPU – Xeon class processors (3.6 Ghz or higher)
• 16 GB Memory
• Hard Drive – minimum 250 GB (preferably RAID 3 + 1 hot spare)
• Dual Power Supply

Note: A larger amount of hard drive disk space may be required on the database server depending on the volume of data being certified by Elevate Data Quality, the frequency of certification and the number of certification rules. Please consult Instructure to discuss this point further if that situation is contemplated.

The following software is required on the database server which houses Elevate Data Quality’s databases:

• Windows Server 2003 SP2 or 2008 (32 or 64 bit)
• Windows 2012 R2
• SQL Server 2005 or 2008 (32 or 64 bit)
• SQL Server Management Studio

The Elevate Data Quality application server can be in a virtualized environment as long as the following resources are dedicated to it:

• Memory: 4 - 8 GB for the Elevate Data Quality Application Server
• Hard Disk: Minimum 80 GB on the Elevate Data Quality Application Server
