How do I use the Course Activity Stream?

The Course Activity Stream shows you all of the recent activity from a single course. This stream is different from the Global Stream, which you see in the User Dashboard when you first log in to Canvas. As an instructor, you have the option to show the Course Activity Stream as your Course Home Page.

Use the Course Activity Stream to:

  • View student Discussions, Assignment Notifications, and Announcements
  • See what has happened since the last time you logged in

Note: If your Home Page is already set to view the course stream, the View Course Stream link does not appear in the course sidebar.
