How do I manage Canvas integrations with a product in the EdCo Partner Portal?

As a provider logged into the EdCo Partner Portal, you can manage Canvas LMS integrations in a product's Integrations page. The Integrations page is designed to help you integrate and implement your product with Canvas via the LTI Configuration Modal. You can:

  • Add your LTI setup to facilitate easy Canvas integration.
  • Provide resources for best implementation practices to Canvas users.
  • Reach out to the Partnerships Team

Notes:

  • 1EdTech's LTITM standard is a technical standard (not a product) used to connect learning tools with an institution's learning environment without logging into each tool. LTI supports a high level of security for passing data about the users, their institutional enrollment, and roles.
  • Global Inherited Keys are maintained elsewhere by Instructure. Please contact your Partnership Manager for support editing these configuration types.

When you log in to the EdCo Partner Portal, the product landing page displays. You can also access it by clicking the EdCo Partner Portal link in top menu bar.

Click a product name link [1]. Or, click the Options icon [2] and then click the View Product link [3].

Click the Integrations tab.

On the Integrations tab, you can view any current integrations or messaging about getting started [2].

To add an integration, click the Add Canvas Configuration button [3].

Select your product's LTI v1.1 or v1.3 configuration from the Canvas Configuration drop-down menu [1]. You can select one of the following:

  • From a Link
  • Paste XML
  • JSON URL
  • Paste JSON Code
  • Dynamic Registration

Fill out other required fields and any optional fields [2].

This data feeds into the Canvas platform to give education institutions the information they need to configure your tool in their Canvas instance.

Click the Create button [3].

Notes:

  • Available, required, and optional fields fields vary, depending on the configuration type you select.
  • If you have an LTI v1.1 configuration, you can now manage your information here. This will take the place of the former EduAppCenter site.

To view the integration main details, click the name link [2].

To edit or delete an integration, click the Options icon [3].

To add additional guidance to aid education institutions implement your Canvas LTI tool with fidelity, click the Create Resource button.

Fill out the fields in the Add Implementation Resource window. Enter a title [1], a description [2], and other details in rich text format [3].

To insert a link to an external document, click the Link icon [4].

Click the Create button [5].

The Integrations page is in read-only format for educators.

If you would like to preview your Integration listing, click the Overview tab [1]. Then, click the View in LearnCommunity button or the View in EdCo Marketplace button [2].
