How do I add an Automation Only step in a workflow?
As a LearnPlatform administrator, you can add Automation Only steps in Workflows. This allows emails to be scheduled and tags or statuses to be applied or removed at any point in the workflow, without requiring a form response.
Note: Automation Only steps can be used for end-of-workflow tasks, such as removing tags applied earlier or sending a final email to the admin or requestor, without requiring a form to be triggered.
Open Settings
Click the Settings link.
Open Workflows
Click the Workflows tile.
Open Workflow Builder
Click the Workflow Builder drop-down menu [1]. Click any link to create a workflow [2].

Add Step
To add an automation only step in the Workflow Builder, click the Add Step button.
Select Automation Only
Click the Step Type drop-down menu.
Select the Automation Only option [2].
Add Automation
Click the Add Automation drop-down menu [1] and then select the automation you wish to add [2].
Automations can be applied as:
- Set new status to
- Set new privacy status to
- Add new tag
- Remove tag
- Add all tags from list
- Remove all tags from list
- Send notification
Complete the remaining fields based on the automation you selected.
Save Workflow
You can preview the workflow at any time [1].
To save the workflow, click the Save Workflow button [2].
