00:07: How do I view my favorite courses in the cardview dashboard?

00:11: By default the dashboard displays up to 20 course cards.

00:14: These are prioritized based on the 20th courses, you were added

00:18: to along with any courses, you have marked as favorites.

00:22: You can also choose to customize the course card display by adding or removing

00:26: courses, as favorite courses. Dashboard courses

00:30: are ordered alphabetically by coarse name and your role in the course, nicknames,

00:34: and course codes do not apply to course ordering Courses with instructor

00:38: roles are listed first, followed by teacher assistant roles and student roles

00:43: If you are an instructor course cards may be organized by published courses

00:48: and unpublished courses.

00:51: Course cards show an overview, of course information, including the course name, or

00:55: nickname course code and term.

00:58: Each card can include up to for tabs, which represent the four main Candace

01:08: These tabs mimic visibility and order in course navigation.

01:13: So, for instance, if an instructor hides, the announcements link the

01:20: An unread icon on the discussions or announcements tab indicates.

01:26: The number in the icon indicates the number of new items.

01:31: If a course, has a longer confusing name, you can create a nickname for your course.

01:36: Most courses are created using student information systems that generate course

01:41: names. Based on terms departments and section numbers, and courses

01:45: with similar names, may be hard to distinguish.

01:49: To add a nickname, click the options icon, then type the name in the nickname

01:53: field. Click the apply button.

01:57: To remove a nickname open the card options and remove the nickname.

02:01: The nickname field will display. The original name of the course then click

02:06: the apply button.

02:08: If you added a nickname, but need to know the original name of the course, hover the

02:12: cursor, over the nickname, View the original course.

02:15: Name in the tooltip, hover text.

02:18: You can customize the color of course cards, which is synced with the color shown

02:22: for the course in the calendar. To change the color of a course card.

02:26: Click the cards options icon.

02:30: Then select a new color, the checkmark indicates the selected color and
