Video: How do I take a quiz?

00:07: How do I take a quiz?
00:09: In course navigation click the quizzes link
00:13: Find an available quiz you'd like to take and click the title of the quiz.
00:18: To begin the quiz click the take the quiz button.
00:22: Complete the quiz prior instructors instructions quizzes will either have
00:26: all the questions on one page or each question will be shown one at a
00:30: time. There are several different question types in canvas that
00:34: your professors may choose to employ from True to essay format.
00:39: Questions can vary by question type.
00:41: Each question will show in the top right corner the point value of the question.
00:46: Each question will be divided from others by a box surrounding the question and
00:50: answers.
00:52: At any point during the quiz, you can view a summary of your quiz.
00:56: Questions, you've answered will be faded out and identified by a check mark icon
01:00: while unanswered questions will be bolded and identified by a question mark icon.
01:06: You can also view the due date for the quiz in the sidebar the quiz
01:10: due date refers to the auto submit date which can be a specified until date
01:14: or the last day of the course. This is not the due date set for when the quiz
01:18: will be marked late.
01:21: You'll also see a timer showing your progress on the quiz for untimed
01:25: quizzes. The quiz shows as the elapsed time.
01:27: If you are taking a timed quiz, the timer shows the running time and counts
01:31: down until time expires.
01:35: You can flag the questions. You want to go back to by clicking the flag by the question.
01:39: The flag will change color to Yellow to remind you to finish the question.
01:43: The yellow flag will also appear in the question overview in the sidebar.
01:49: If you are taking a timed quiz, are you are taking a quiz close to the due date
01:53: or lock date and time canvas generates warning messages to help you manage
01:57: your time in the quiz. Canvas will also warn you if you lose the connection
02:01: to the internet during the quiz.
02:04: If you are taking a quiz with a set due date, you will see a warning pop-up Banner
02:08: as to how many minutes remain before the quiz will be marked late.

02:18: If you start a quiz near the time when it will be due you will see a warning pop-up Banner.

02:45: If at any time, you get logged out of canvas while taking a quiz you will see
02:49: a warning pop-up Banner. To resume your quiz click the login
02:53: button.
02:55: If your browser allows you to leave the quiz, you can pause the quiz by leaving the quiz
02:59: page. When you are ready to resume the quiz, the quiz will resume
03:03: where you left off.
03:06: Canvas will save your quiz as you go through it when you are finished submit
03:10: your quiz and view the quiz results to find out your score.
03:14: If you do not submit a timed quiz before the time Runs Out canvas displays
03:18: a pop-up box telling you that your quiz time has expired.
03:21: The quiz automatically submits after the 10-second countdown or
03:26: you can click the okay find button or close icon to submit your quiz.
