How do I edit a file in Files?

To edit a file stored in Files, you need to download the file, edit the file, save, and then upload the edited file.

In Account, Group, or Course Navigation, click the Files link.

Click the line item for the file [1]. Click the Download icon [2]. Or click the Options icon [3] and then click the Download link [4].

View File

Your file downloads. Open the appropriate folder to view the file.

Note: The file downloads to wherever your browser downloads files, which may be the Downloads folder on your computer.

Open and edit the file using an appropriate editor on your computer. Save the file.

In Files, click the Upload button.
