How do I use the Canvas Welcome Tour?
Canvas provides an optional welcome tour that provides quick tips to get started with a Canvas course. The content of the welcome tour depends on your user role:
- If you are a student, the Canvas Welcome Tour shows you how to find your courses, contact your instructor, download the Canvas Student app, and get help with Canvas.
- If you are an instructor, the Canvas Welcome Tour shows you how to set up your notifications, get your content online, and learn about video conferencing with Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.
- If you are an admin, the Canvas Welcome Tour shows you how to add people and courses to Canvas, share course content and templates with teachers, set up video conferencing and other tools, and find training resources and more help.
Notes:
- The Canvas Welcome Tour for admins only displays for users with account admin permissions. It does not display for sub-account admins.
- If you are new to Canvas, you can also get started by reviewing the Instructor Getting Started Resources, Student Getting Started Resources, or Observer/Parent Getting Started Resources. You can also view videos on a variety of topics.
