How do I use SpeedGrader with the New Performance and Usability Upgrades?

Canvas allows you to access SpeedGrader from an assignment, quiz, or graded discussion. You can also open SpeedGrader from the Gradebook.

Performance and usability upgrades for SpeedGrader are enabled by default for all institutions. These upgrades provide faster load times and enhanced stability. Admins can manage the Search for Courses setting at the account or sub-account level. If this setting is unlocked, instructors can manage the feature at the course level.

You can open the SpeedGrader from the Gradebook.

SpeedGrader is updated for faster load times, enhanced stability, and the following features:

  • A streamlined interface for the Section drop-down menu.
  • A clearer and more prominent No Submission alert.
  • An improved interface for courses without content.
  • The Submission Status is updated to a drop-down menu.
  • Rubrics are automatically displayed in the traditional view.
  • Media attachments and submission comments are moved and the delete icon is changed.

To view all sections, click the Showing: All Sections drop-down menu.

Select Desired Section

In the Sections [1] drop-down menu, select the desired section. Then click Apply [2] to filter multiple submissions at once.
