How do I use IgniteAI Question Authoring for Quizzes?
In New Quizzes, you can use IgniteAI Question Authoring for Quizzes to create questions based on course content.
Note: This guide applies to institutions who have opted-in to IgniteAI's Question Authoring feature preview. If your user interface displays differently, the feature has not been enabled at your institution.
Add Question
In the Build tab, click the Add button.
Open Question Authoring
Click the Generate with AI button.
View Question Authoring
You can generate questions by choosing existing course content [1], entering text [2], or uploading files [3]. You can also add a topic focus [4] and select relevant learning outcomes, depth of knowledge, or language [5] before choosing the question type [6].
Select Course Content
To add a module to your source material, click the checkbox [1]. You can select multiple modules [2], but you can select only one file at a time [3].
To finalize your selection, click the Select button [4].
View the file you uploaded [1]. To remove your selected course content(s), click the Delete icon [1].
Add Text Input
To help refine your results, you can add any relevant text in the Text Input field. The character limit is 20,000.
Upload File Input
You can add a file by dragging it in or by uploading it from your device.
Select the file you want to upload [1], then click the Open button [2].
View the file you uploaded [1]. To remove your uploaded file, click the Delete icon [2].
If you select a file as your course content [1], you cannot attach or upload anything in the File Input tile [2].
Select More Options
To select from the available outcomes, click the Learning Outcomes drop-down menu [1].
To select a level, click the Level of Bloom's taxonomy drop-down menu [2].
To select a specific depth, click the Depth of knowledge drop-down menu [3].
To select your preferred language, click the Language drop-down menu [4].
View Generated Item Preview
A preview displays where you can cancel the creation of the question [1], regenerate a new question [2], or edit and review the question [3].
