How do I create a message with the Impact Inline Editor?
You can use the Inline Editor to create and deploy a message within your learning management system.
Open Inline Editor

Navigate to the area of the learning application where you wish to place the monitor.
To open the Inline Editor, click the Inline Editor icon [1] and then click the Message Create New button [2].
Add Message to Page
To add a message to a page, click the Select Page button.
Add Page Conditions and Properties

On Page conditions and properties, view the selected page domain [1].
The Conditions and properties dropdown menu displays the Page template [2] and Course_id [3]. To view the template details, click the Template preview icon [4].
The Context title [5] displays the page context name. To view existing messages connected to the page, click the Connected messages link [6]. To preview a context screenshot, click the Preview context screenshot link [7].
Then click the Next button [8].
Add Message Design Details

Add the following design details:
- Title [1]
- Content [2]
- Message style [3]: systray and pop-up styles are available when adding a message to a page
- Collect user feedback [4]
- Custom message size [5]: when enabled, select the height and width of your custom message size
- Checkbox confirmation [6]: None or Add "Don't show this again"
Then click the Next button [7].
Add Message Configuration

In Configuration Details, determine who should see the message in the Target user group dropdown menu [1].
Determine the Visible from [2] and Visible to date [3] and then select a Start time [4] and End time [5].
Then click the Save dropdown menu [6] and select whether to publish or save as draft [7].
Add Message to an Element
To add a message to an element, click the element within your LMS.
Add Element Conditions and Properties

On Element conditions and properties, view the selected element [1].
The Conditions and properties dropdown menu displays the the following options:
- Element template [2]
- Behavior [3]: On page load or Triggered on click or hover
- Page connection [4]: Show on the current page or Show on all pages
- Course_id [5]
To view the template details, click the Template preview icon [6].
The Context title [7] displays the element context name. To view existing messages connected to the element, click the Connected messages link [8]. To preview a context screenshot, click the Preview context screenshot link [9].
Then click the Next button [10].
Add Message Design Details

Add the following design details:
- Title [1]
- Content [2]
- Message positioning [3]
- Collect user feedback [4]
- Custom message size [5]: when enabled, select the height and width of your custom message size
- Checkbox confirmation [6]: None or Add "Don't show this again"
Then click the Next button [7].
Set Message Configuration Details
