How do I restrict a message to a course in the Impact Inline Editor?
In the Inline Editor, you can create new messages or edit existing messages that are restricted to appear only in specific courses. This feature allows you to provide highly relevant guidance and announcements to students and instructors of selected courses, rather than displaying the message to your entire institution.
Note: The ability to restrict a message by course is only available to pop-up and systray messages. This feature can only be configured when the Inline Editor is launched from within a course page.
Add Course Restriction

In the Configuration Details of a new or existing message, you can restrict messages to selected courses. Click the Course restriction Select Course(s) dropdown menu [1].
To select a course from a list, click the Select from a list link [2].
To upload a CSV course file, click the Upload CSV file link [3].
Select a Course from a List
To search a course from a list, enter a course name in the Search field [1] or locate the name of the course in the table [2]. Then click the course checkbox [3].
Click the Select button [3].

To upload a course from your computer, drag and drop a file [1], or browser your computer files by clicking the Choose a file to upload link [2]. Then click the Upload button [3].
Save Message

Then click the Save dropdown menu [1] and select whether to publish or save as draft [2].
